Is Your Restaurant Ready For Some Football?

    By Taren Martin | Uncategorized | Comments are Closed | 26 September, 2023 | 0

Football season is upon us and that can mean more business and higher profits for your restaurant.  From the college crowds, to the Sunday afternoon games, there are so many opportunities to capitalize on the amount of people who are looking for either a place to enjoy the game, or good food to pick up and enjoy from the comfort of their homes.  Each restaurant has to evaluate what tactics will have the most positive impact on their business and then put them into practice.  We will talk about a few things that your restaurant can do to score big this season.

    Snacks/Appetizers

Snacks are arguably one of the most beloved foods for game days! Consumers are all about snacking and having food that can be easily shared with their friends and family.  Appetizers that are familiar are always a hit, so don’t overthink it.  Buffalo wings, nachos, sliders and chips and dip are just a few that people can’t seem to get enough of.  You might even have these items on your menu, so now you just need to market them to game day customers, and maybe offer them as larger, shareable platters.

    Back-Office Software System

High tech reporting software will give your restaurant the tools it needs to make educated decisions that can increase profitability.  You can easily see which menu items are performing the best, which ones you should get rid of and even compare sales and labor numbers to see if you have too many people working during a particular shift.  You can request reports daily, weekly and monthly and compare numbers.  You even have the option to choose what time of day you want the reports to come in.This can completely alter the way you run your restaurant and will help you improve day to day and year after year by allowing you to compare data.

    Social Media

Utilize these platforms to get people in and tell them about your LTO’s! Create a hashtag that customers can use when they come in to watch the game so they can take pictures and share with their friends.  Go live during a game so the people at home see exactly what they are missing out on.  Share your promotions as often as you can.  The more people see it, the more likely they will be to come in.

Get your guests excited about what you have to offer and make your restaurant the place to be this football season.  Remember, for the best results, utilize a software system that will allow your restaurant to have a high scoring season and profit like it should.
