    Restaurant Technology in 2023

    By Taren Martin | Blog | Comments are Closed | 17 January, 2023 | 0

The only constant in running a restaurant is that everything is always changing, and restaurant owners must learn to go with the flow, adjust and rethink how they do business. One thing we can bank on is that technology is not going anywhere. Technology will improve, there will be new ideas and inventions, but it is not going to go away.  Here are some of the top tech savvy tools that could benefit your restaurant this year.

    Artificial Intelligence

From drone deliveries to kiosk ordering, artificial intelligence is sure to be prominent and play an important role in the restaurant industry this year and for years to come.  We discussed the benefits of artificial intelligence and labor shortages, but the truth is that AI is far more beneficial than just assisting with being short staffed. Robots can help eliminate steps for kitchen staff and cashiers and help with accuracy and consistency.  While the mention of AI might still leave people feeling too extreme or futuristic, there are some simple AI integrations your restaurant can take that will leave a big impact.

    Loyalty Programs

More and more restaurants are seeing the benefits of loyalty programs and investing in digital software to increase customer spending and frequency. Did you know that it is 5 times easier to keep a current customer than to gain a new one?  Regular customers are also more likely to try new menu items and spend more, so having a loyalty program makes sense. Investing in a software system instead of the  old punch card approach, allows you to track customer orders, obtain email addresses to send promotional offers and connect to your POS System so tracking

    Online Order Aggregator Software

Online ordering and third party delivery are not expected to slow down anytime soon.  The name of the game these days is minimum effort, maximum results.  This software allows restaurants to manage online orders much easier by syncing with their POS System and improving the overall flow of operations.

    Restaurant Management Software

Again, if you are looking for more efficiency when it comes to managing your restaurant while maximizing profits and productions, investing in management software is a must.  More restaurants are utilizing the tools available through this type of software and have seen great success in widening profit margins and saving ample time when scheduling employees or taking inventory.

So our question to you is not will you incorporate technology into your restaurant this year, but how will you incorporate technology into your restaurant this year?  Figure out what works best with your restaurant and put it to use!
