    Ending 2023 Strong

    By Taren Martin | Blog | Comments are Closed | 12 December, 2023 | 0

The end of the year is nearing! Many businesses are gearing up for 2024, looking forward to new trends, new marketing strategies and excited for how they are going to grow their business next year. All of these things are important for your restaurant’s success, but it is also important to finish the year strong! People are out shopping and looking to grab a bite to eat between stores, or celebrating early Christmas with friends and family and looking for someone to cater or a restaurant to gather everyone together.  So if you  are feeling like the year is over and there is not much more you can do, listen up! Here are some ways to help you end the year strong.

    Gift Ideas

Be a problem solver for your customers! If you have merchandise available for purchase make sure your customers know. Advertise on social media how getting their friend a gift card or a sweater from their favorite place to eat is the perfect last minute gift. I mean, who is not running around this time of year  searching for an easy last minute gift? You could even offer a small amount on a gift card when they purchase a certain amount on a separate gift card so they can gift that one as well or keep it for themselves. Have signs up in your restaurant and drive through the line so people know that adding a gift card or t-shirt to their order is an option.

    Holiday Promos

Keep your holiday promos running strong. This is the time to capitalize on the spirit of the holidays, so break out the eggnog and gingerbread, sprinkle some crushed peppermint over a frothy latte or milkshake and continue pushing those on your social media channels.  Consumers generally need to see something around seven times before they will commit to purchasing, so post, repost and post again.  You can change it up a little, but there is no reason to over-complicate things.  The year is not over so keep posting your holiday specials!

    Team Motivation

We discussed this a few weeks back, but it can never be said enough.  With the holidays here, people working overtime and feeling more stress than normal, it is a great time to step up the employee encouragement.  Do a fun giveaway the last few weeks of the year or if you can give a bonus of any kind, do it! The gesture alone shows how much you appreciate your team. And if your business is not in the position to do those things, rest assured that they will be just as appreciative to hear your words of encouragement and affirmation.  You want to finish the year strong financially, but it is also important to build your team up and be ready to take on the new year with a team that is unified, knows how much they are valued and can work well together.

So while you are working hard to hit your goals and plan for next year’s events and training, remember that finishing this year strong is going to set the tone for how 2024 begins!
